PURPOSE:To industrially advantageously produce an alpha,beta-enone derivative, especially an intermediate for prostaglandins in a short process by reacting 2-ynol derivative with a catalytic amount of palladium complex. CONSTITUTION:2-Ynol derivative expressed by formula I [R<1> is (substituted) aryl or group having 1,3-conjugated system; R<2> is 1-10C alkyl] is reacted with a catalytic amount of palladium complex (e.g. tetrakistriphenylphosphine palladium or palladium chloride) to provide alpha,beta-enone derivative expressed by formula II. In this reaction, especially when R<1> is formula III shown in the formula I, a compound expressed by formula TV which is an important intermediate for production of prostaglandins is efficiently and preferably produced. The compound expressed by formula I is readily produced. alpha,beta-enone derivative is an important intermediate for synthesizing a medicine or physiologically active natural product. |
