PURPOSE:To prevent reduction of reflectance on the recording layer surface by providing an antireflection layer of specified film thickness comprising polysiloxane on the surface of the polycarbonate substrate where no recording layer is provided, with a basecoat layer interposed. CONSTITUTION:On the one surface of a polycarbonate substrate, a recording layer is provided to enable recording and reproducing of information with laser light. On the other surface of the substrate where no recording layer is provided, a basecoat layer is provided, on which an antireflection layer of 600-4000Angstrom thickness comprising polysiloxane is provided. As for the basecoat layer, polymethyl methacrylate, etc., is preferable. The antireflection layer is formed by applying a liquid material containing siloxane compd. (in a form of colloid dispersion, suspension, solution, etc.,) on the surface of the substrate and drying the coating film at room temp. or raised temp. During the film is dried, the siloxane compd. causes condensation and forms the antireflection layer essen tially comprising polysiloxane having a net-like structure. |
