The hollow body (52) of granular ceramic is isostatically pressed by a method in which a membrane is put in an auxiliary die and a core (38) is cast of e.g. synthetic resin. Membrane and core are put into a pressing die (40) with an inner wall (42) corresp. to the shape of the body, so that a space (50) is formed in which granular ceramic is charged. Hydraulic fluid is introduced between the core and membrane, pressing the latter against the granules to compact them. After pressure is released, the core is melted out or otherwise removed. USE/ADVANTAGE - One or several undercuts can be included in the moulded hollow body.
