IC-engine cylinder head valve - has inlet valve fitted concentrically within and axially movable w.r.t. hollow exhaust valve

The I.C. engine cylinder head valve assembly has a hollow exhaust valve (1) with cylindrical stem. The inlet valve (2) is fitted concentrically in and can move axially w.r.t. the exhaust valve. The hollow space inside the outlet valve forms an inlet mixing chamber (3), which broadens at the valve head to form an inlet valve seat (4). ADVANTAGE - Larger inlet and exhaust valve apertures are obtainable.
