The container is for storing a liq. which readily evaporates when exposed to the atmosphere. It consists of a storage chamber which partly surrounds the pouring chamber. Holes in the walls of both chambers allow the liq. to flow from the storage chamber into the pouring chamber. The pouring chamber has a vertical slot (3) in its wall which is initially covered with foil. A float (4) inside the pouring chamber carries a blade (6). As the liq. is used up the float (4) sinks and the blade cuts a slit of continuously increasing length in the foil to allow the liquid to be poured out. USE/ADVANTAGE - Storage of volatile liquid without the need to store it under high pressure.
