a) Method and system for avoiding two different stations simultaneously carrying out monitoring of a repeater, in a network system for communication by submarine cables. b) Each station (11, 12, 13) includes a means (21) for generating a request to send the signal requesting monitoring rights; a sending means (12) for sending to the station which, with respect to it, are situated on the other side of a repeater, a specific signal representing this request; a reception means (23) coupled to each of the submarine cables (14, 15, 16) so as to receive therefrom the request signal for the monitoring rights; and a decision means (24) for deciding whether the signal received is equal to the specific signal and, in this case, the specific station receives the monitoring rights. c) The invention applies to submarine cables and makes it possible to organise monitoring of repeaters. <IMAGE> |
