Method comprises the use of a longitudinally extending gripping element for fixing the strip in position, and a sealing element extending on and along the gripping element. The profiled strip is bent to form two arms extending towards the corner, and a corner section is applied directly to the sealing element by low-temp. pressing. The corner section is shaped so as to conform precisely to the sharp angle of the corner. Pref. at least part of the sealing element is cut out between the two arms of the strip without cutting into the gripping element, and the corner section is pressed directly into the cut-out recess. The corner section may consists of urethane combined with a catalyst or activator e.g. polyisocyanate. |
