PURPOSE:To suppress vibration due to overdrive by providing means for detecting the load torque of a step motor and meand for controlling the output torque of the step motor according to thus detected load torque. CONSTITUTION:Upon provision of a print signal 802 from an image generating section 800, interruption of current level control of a step motor 811 is inhibited and a maximum current level is set followed by power supply to the step motor 811. At the same time, current level control interruption mask is released and slow-up pulses phiA, phiB are outputted thus rotating the step motor 811. Consequently, current level control interruption is generated every predetermined period based on an internal counter interruption. When the rotation of the step motor 811 is transmitted to loads 704, 705, 706, 707, 718, load torques are produced and combined load torque is converted through a torque sensor 100 into a corresponding voltage output VT which is then subjected to A/D conversion through an A/D 107 and stored in a register. |
