摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a composite brake system in the axial direction and make it compact by providing a first friction plate, which is pressed by and engaged with a first piston sliding between the outside circumference of a cylinder and a case, and a second friction plate which is pressed by and engaged with a second piston sliding between the inside circumference of a cylinder and the inside circumference of the first piston. CONSTITUTION:A piston 61 is provided between the outside circumference of an cylinder 60 and a case in a sliding manner and, when the piston 61 moves to the right to supply hydraulic fluid to-a oil chamber 63, a plural number of friction plates 64 are pressed and engaged with each other by the piston 61. A piston 66 is provided between the inside circumference of the cylinder 60 and the inside circumference of the piston 61 in a sliding manner and, when hydraulic fluid supplied from fluid supply passages 68, 69 to an oil chamber 70 causes the piston 66 to actuate, a plural number of friction plates 67 are pressed and engaged with each other by the piston 66. Because each cylinder is commonly used by the cylinder 60 and the pistons 61, 66 are arranged in the diameter direction, the length of the cylinder 60 of a brake with a combination system in the axis direction can be shortened and made compact.
