PURPOSE:To shorten the transmission time by data compression by converting the numeral train part which follows an address character to a binary number of a prescribed number of bits or data of numeral code expression from a character code and transmitting it. CONSTITUTION:At the time of transferring the NC program 4 to an NC device 2 provided on a machine tool 1 from a remote transfer origin device 3 through a transmission line 5, it is subjected to data compression and transferred. That is, the numeral train 12 part which follows address characters 11a, 11b in each word WA, WB of the NC program 4 is converted to a binary number of a prescribed number of bits or data 13 of numeral code expression. This converted NC program 7 is transmitted in series, and the data 13 parts of a prescribed number of bits which follows the address characters 11a, 11b of the transmitted NC program is restored to the numeral train 12 of character code expression. In such a way, the transmission time can be shortened. |
