Fossil fuels which are subjected to a grinding operation, to which at least one basic additive is added to bind the harmful substance and which are subjected to combustion at a firing bed temperature of less than 1300 DEG C can be burnt with low harmful-substance emission if the ground solid fuel is kept with the basic additive added for 10 to 180 min. in an essentially sealed reaction chamber, the solid fuel having a moisture content of > 15% and the temperature in the reaction chamber being kept above 40 DEG C and below 100 DEG C, and if the combustion is carried out with a firing bed temperature of </= 830 DEG C.
|
