PURPOSE:To enhance coloring density and improve wet-pick strength by adding to a coloring layer a water-soluble polymer and dialdehyde starch as a binding agent. CONSTITUTION:The self-coloring pressure-sensitive copying paper comprises a coloring layer consisting mainly of the microcapsules of synthetic resin wall enclosing therein the solution of a coloring agent and an organic developing agent dissolved in a high boiling point solvent and a water-soluble polymer and dialdehyde starch contained therein as a binding agent. Such a structure is excellent in the coloring characteristic such as coloring rate and density and also in wet-pick strength and effectively adaptable for offset printing. Since it is also effective as a binding agent, the amount of the water-soluble polymer for use therewith is decreased and this copying paper is advantageous in terms of cost. |
