MANUFACTURE OF FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC FAN

PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight FRP fan of excellent quality having no defective or dent part in the leading end part of its blade body by injecting a solvent in the guide hole piercing an outer shell layer and a film to reach the fan original form to dissolve the fan original form to discharge the same from the guide hole. CONSTITUTION:Foamable polystyrene is injected in a mold from an injection port C and formed in the mold to mold the fan original form. Subsequently, a primer solution of an epoxy resin is applied to the entire peripheral surface of the fan original form 1 taken out of the mold to form a film 2 and an outer shell constituting material 2' prepared by impregnating a reinforcing fiber material with unsaturated polyester is bonded to the entire peripheral surface of the film 2 and cured to form an outer shell layer 3 and the guide hole 4 piercing the outer shell layer 3 and the film 2 to reach the original form 1 is formed and toluene dissolving the original form 1 is injected in the guide hole 4. The solution 5 of the original form dissolved by toluene is perfectly discharged from the guide hole 4 to form a hollow part 6 and the guide hole 4 is closed by a mixed composition of chopped strand and an unsaturated polyester resin to obtain an FRP fan.
