PURPOSE:To reset a microcomputer correspondingly to runaway by outputting a reset signal by expiration of a watchdog timer in the case of runaway of the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:When a restart indication signal is not given to a slave microcomputer 2 (a master microcomputer 1) by runaway of the microcomputer 1 (2), the microcomputer 2 (1) does not give a restart signal to a watchdog timer 4, and the watchdog timer 4 generates the reset signal by expiration. If both of microcomputers 1 and 2 are run away, the microcomputer 1 does not generate the restart indication signal, and the microcomputer 2 does not generate the restart signal, and therefore, the watchdog timer 4 generates the reset signal by expiration. Thus, microcomputers 1 and 2 are reset together by runaway. |
