The electroluminescent lamp (EL lamp) is mfd. by coating an insulating layer (4) on the Al substrate (5) with an organic adhesive, coating a luminescent layer (3) of ZnS/Mn on the transparent conductive film (2), joining the substrate (5) to the film (2) by the heat pressing, and laminating the lminated material with a moisture-proofing film (1). The organic adhesive is pref. cyanogen/ethyl resin. The EL lamp has an improved luminance and life.
