The invention relates to a bandage which is stable in catalytic polyurethane having hydraulic activity, the essential components of which include polyurethane prepolymer, catalyst and stabiliser, etc. The catalyst in the aforementioned bandage can be readily combined with a stabiliser, methanesulphonic acid for example, to form a stable structured complex, and consequently the shelf life of the orthopaedic bandage made of the materials described above is prolonged considerably. The catalyst having the preferred solidification time and which is capable of considerably prolonging the shelf life of the bandage is LF-3, namely alpha-(morpholinepolyethoxy)-beta-morpholinoethane, or a mixture of LF-3 and cocatalyst bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl) ether.
