PURPOSE:To obtain the optical waveguide which has high reflection efficiency and is in a complicate and fine shape with high productivity by injecting a light-transmissive material which has a higher refractive index than a base material into a groove part formed in the base material and forming a core part, and sealing this core part with a light-transmissive material which has a lower refractive index then the core part forming material. CONSTITUTION:The pattern groove part 3 is cut in the light-transmissive material 1 as a clad part by using a tetrahedral diamond blade 2. The core part forming material made of photosetting resin which has the higher refractive index than the base material 1 is injected and filled in the groove part 3 by using an injector 4, and the core part forming material is irradiated with ultraviolet rays and cured to form the core part 5. Then the photosetting resin which has the lower refractive index than the core part forming material is used as a core part sealing material 6 and irradiated with ultraviolet rays to set the core part sealing material 6, and the core part 5 is completely sealed except its incidence/projection end for light. Consequently, the optical waveguide which has the high reflection efficiency and is in the complicate fine shape can easily be obtained with the high producibility. |
