PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance, pollution resistance, light resistance, and dark brown resistance by constituting a dyestuff accepting layer of a copolymer of polyvinyl chloride resin and/or vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate and a protective layer of acrylic resin and/or polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer receive sheet to be used for forming an image has a record image which has an excellent dyestuff accepting property with respect to a pigment, and is made of a resin having excellent adhesiveness at heating with respect to a transparent protective layer. As a particularly favorable resin, a copolymer of vinyl chloride resin and/or vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate can be applied. As for a thermal transfer method, a thermal transfer sheet and a thermal transfer image receiving sheet are used and the transparent protective layer is layered on a formed image. In a transparent protective layer thermal transfer sheet to be used, a transferable transparent protective layer is provided on a base material film. As for the base material film, the same base material film as the thermal transfer sheet can be used. As for a transparent resin to be used for the transparent protective layer, acrylic resin and/or polyester having excellent transparency and various resistances can be used and about 0.5-1.0mum thick thereof is appropriate. |
