Connector intended to enable an apparatus to be connected in series by means of a screened branch cable (20) to a screened cable (1) having a screen sheath (5) connected to a drain (4). The connector includes a connection block composed of a support element (50) in which a cut-off device (10) is housed, placed between four connection pieces (6 to 9), each of which is intended to receive one of the transmission wires of the branch cable and of the drain cable. The connection block is housed in a case (51) inside a Faraday cage (56) into which the conductors of the cables penetrate and in which are housed the support element, the connection pieces and a terminal block (30) for access to the conductors of the branch cable. Auxiliary connection members (71 to 74) and a self-looping (self-clinching) socket (70) possibly complete the connector. <IMAGE>
