A method for producing wooden window blades having surfaces with a cubic veneer finish includes cutting a flitch of wood with annual rings into window blades of desired dimensions, sandblasting the surfaces of the window blades so as to produce a veneer finish on the surfaces, brushing and washing the window blades so as to remove sand and wood scraps from the surfaces, and dyeing and finishing the window blades.
