PURPOSE:To attain optical communication even when an obstacle is present between two communication stations communicated with each other and to reduce the installation cost and the construction cost by providing a reflecting means to lead a light emitting from either of the two stations to the other station to an optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:An optical modulation signal emitting from a 1st station 1 is reflected in a mirror M1 being a reflection means and is made incident on a mirror M2, which reflects an incident light and gives it to succeeding mirrors. The light reflected in such a manner is reflected finally in a mirror Mn and given to a 2nd station 2, the 2nd station 2 demodulates the received optical modulation signal to obtain a desired data. Conversely, the optical modulation signal emitting from the 2nd station 2 is reflected in the mirrors Mn-M2, M1 in this order and given to the 1st station 1, which demodulates the received optical modulation signal to obtain a desired data. Thus, even when an obstacle OBJ is present between the 1st station 1 and the 2nd station 2, an optical transmission path is formed by bypassing the obstacle to reduce the installation cost and the construction cost. |
