PURPOSE:To generate fog by the titled harmless and economic method having high fog generation efficiency, by gasifying a fogging agent comprising a water- soluble aliphatic organic chemical and water at a given temperature and cooling the gas by the use of the open air. CONSTITUTION:At least one selected from ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butanediol, methoxybutanol, polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol and hexylene glycol is blended with water (preferably <=50vol.%) to form a fogging agent. A proper amount of the prepared fogging agent is fed to a high- temperature gas preheated to 200-650 deg.C, gasified and then cooled by the use of the open air to efficiently generate fog for scattering an insecticide.
