<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a data recording card capable of rapidly performing the recording and erasure of data in a display part by forming the display part by a polymer-liquid crystal memory film wherein the orientation state of the liquid crystal molecules dispersed in and held to a polymer material is alterable by the action of an electric field and heat. CONSTITUTION:First, a transparent electrode 12 is formed to a card base 10 and a polymer-liquid crystal memory film 14 is applied and formed thereon. Further, a protective film 16 is formed to the entire surface of the card base 10. A magnetic stripe 18 is formed on the card base 10 at an appropriate position and the terminal part 20 of the transparent electrode 12 is exposed from the protective film 16. The transparent electrode 12 has function efficiently using the applied electric field from the outside in the polymer-liquid crystal memory film 14 and is formed from ITO. The polymer-liquid crystal memory film 14 has such a structure that a large number of liquid crystal droplets are dispersed in and held to a polymer matrix and is characterized by that the orientation state of liquid crystals is changed corresponding to the application of an electric field and the changed state is held.</p> |
