0.5-2 wt. parts of high shrinkage polyethylene terephthalate (B), which is copolymerized with 3.5-5.5 wt.% 2,2- dimethyl-1,3-propane diol, contains 0.5-1.5 wt.% of calcium carbonate, and has intrinsic viscosity that satisfies the following condition, are mixed with 1 wt. part of polyethylene terephthalate (A) which has the intrinsic viscosity that satisfies the following condition. The mixture is composite spun through trigod-shaped sprinneret, rapidly cooled with the temp. of 10-20 deg.C, wind velocity of 0.2-0.6 m/sec, and undergoes conventional polyester drawing process, thus making polyester differential shrinkage blended fiber. The condition satisfies 0.5 <= Ia <= 0.8, 0.5 <= Ib <= 0.8, and Ia-Ib <= 0.1 [ where Ia, Ib are intrinsic viscosity of chip A,B respectively .
