PURPOSE:To improve the mixing and the stirring of developer, to make the rise of charging excellent and to prevent toner scattering and surface fogging by using carrier having many pores on its surface. CONSTITUTION:The two-component developer consisting of toner 4 and the carrier is supplied to a developer carrying roller 24 to form a developer layer. By transferring only the toner 4 to a developing roller 13 from the layer, a toner layer is formed so that an electrostatic latent image may be developed by the toner layer. Then, the resin coated carrier having many pores 3 on its surface is used. Since AC voltage is impressed on the roller 13, the developer on a sleeve roller 14 is electrically vibrated and the toner 4 stuck to the surface of the carrier is electrically attracted to the roller 13 based on a bias potential difference. The carrier consisting of a carrier core material 1, a resin coating layer 2 and the pores 3 formed on the surface of the layer 2 is used. |
