PURPOSE:To form the image of a document at an optional position in a direction orthogonally crossed with a paper feeding direction on a copying paper without making production cost higher by providing an image forming means and a control means which controls the feeding quantity of the document by a document feeding means and adjusts an image forming position on the recording material. CONSTITUTION:The direction of an automatic document feeding device becomes the right side of a copying machine main body 1 when it is arranged on the upper surface of the main body 1, and the document is fed from a back side to a front side. Namely, the document is fed in the direction orthogonally crossed with the copying paper feeding direction of the main body 1. The document S is fed in the direction orthogonally crossed with an exposing and scanning direction by the document feeding means A and the feeding quantity of the document S is controlled by a control means D to adjust the position of forming the image on the recording material. The document S is exposed and scanned, the image of the document S is formed on a photosensitive body 11 by an image forming means C, and the image is transferred to the recording material. Thus, the image of the document is formed at the optional position in the direction orthogonally crossed with the paper feeding direction on the copying paper without increasing the production cost. |
