PURPOSE:To manufacture the title solid electrolytic capacitor having especially excellent moisture absorption characteristics and high reliability by a method wherein a capacitor element before the formation of a resin exterior body is immersed in an electrolyte to measure the leakage current thereof removing any defective parts in this stage. CONSTITUTION:In the title manufacture of solid electrolytic capacitor by forming a formation film around the pellets comprising valve working metallic powder sintered body and after the formation of a cathode layer comprising carbon.silver paste on the formation film further forming a resin exterior body on the capacitor element and then an anode terminal member and a cathode terminal member fixed on the anode lead of the pellets and the cathode layer into the capacitor element, the leakage current of the capacitor element is measured in a specific electrolyte before the formation of the resin exterior body so as to inspect the increase in the leakage current due to moisture absorption. In this case, it is recommended that HNO3, H3PO4, CH3COOH etc., are used as the electrolyte for measuring the leakage current in the conductivity of the electrolyte exceeding 5X10<-3>mumS further to be dried up and, completely removable. |
