STACK GAS DESULFERIZATION METHOD

PURPOSE:To recover gypsum of high purity containing a less amt. of fly ash by introducing the residual slurry to a magnetic field to separate and recover the fly ash from the slurry and then returning the slurry to the circulating system. CONSTITUTION:A slurry containing limestone and fly ash is sent to a fly ash separator 116. This separator 116 consists of an inner cylinder 117 and an electromagnet 118 provided around the cylinder to apply a magnetic field on the slurry. During the slurry is passed through the separator, only the fly ash is collected on the wall of the inner cylinder 117 and separated and recovered. A valve 120 is opened once in a certain interval to introduce industrial water to the fly ash separator so that the fly ash is carried by the water through a line 121 and discharged to outside of the system. During introducing water, power supply to the electromagnet 118 is stopped so as to remove the fly ash from the wall of the inner cylinder 117.
