PURPOSE:To obtain an image display device capable of rapidly displaying an animation by providing the image display device with a display control means for controlling the display of cinematic images in set order. CONSTITUTION:When plural time-sequentially photographed image data are applied, the data are stored in an optional area of a RAM 4 and graphic data to be displayed superposedly to the image data are stored in an optional area of a RAM 3. On the other hand, cinematic display tables are previously stored in cinematic display control parts 5a, 5b. When output pulses are applied from counters 6a, 6b in a vertical blanking period for picture display, area addresses are outputted from respective control parts 5a, 5b is synchronously with these output pulses. Consequently, animation display can be rapidly attained. |
