PURPOSE: To provide a device for controlling a supply current to a load such as a telephone subscriber's line. CONSTITUTION: According to a predetermined response profile including a 1st range specified by plural parameters and extended from low load level to high load level and a 2nd range extended higher than the high load level, an output current is generated in response to a change in the load. A 1st control circuit 56 generates the 1st set of parameters for establishing the response profile in the 1st range, a 2nd control circuit 58 generates the 2nd set of parameters for establishing the response profile in the 2nd range, and an assigned supply circuit 60 assigns a signal into the device. |
