PURPOSE:To easily set a required mode after turning on a power source again by updating and setting a mode held in either of the storage areas of a non- volatile memory means in a copying device. CONSTITUTION:The set mode of the copying device in the cast that the power source circuit of the copying device is connected to the power source is written in either of two storage areas (retreat area) of the non-volatile memory means 290. When the power source circuit is disconnected from the power source (the power source is turned off), the mode is held by the means 290 while the power source is turned off. After the power source circuit is connected to the power source (the power source is turned on), the set mode (newest mode) of the copying device is written in the other storage area and the previous set mode (previous mode) at the time when the power source is turned off before it is turned on is continuously held by the means 290. When a mode restoration instructing means instructs restoration in such a state, a restored mode setting means 210 updates and set the previous mode stored in the means 290 in the copying device in response to the instruction. Thus, the required mode after turning on the power source again is easily set. |
