PURPOSE:To readily obtain a dense electrolytic film excellent in electric conductivity by dispersing zirconia powder and yttria powder in an organic solvent, coating a solid electrolyte with the resultant paste and baking the applied paste. CONSTITUTION:Zirconia powder and yttria powder or yttrium oxide-zirconium oxide solid solution powder is dispersed in an organic solvent and a solid electrolyte is then coated with the resultant paste and baked to afford the objective solid electrolyte. The produced electrolytic film is converted into a yttria- stabilized zirconia according to the aforementioned method for production and a dense electrolytic thin film excellent in oxide ion electric conductivity can be obtained. The above-mentioned electrolyte can be produced by a simple method for preparing a paste from zirconia powder and yttria powder or fine yttrium oxidezirconium oxide solid solution powder, coating a gas electrode, etc., therewith and baking the applied paste. |
