<p>PURPOSE:To specify a fault generating part and cause or the like in a system by providing a communication function by means of a telephone line between a VTR control device and a computer, and a trouble diagnostic function of its own and of various kinds of equipments for VTR edition. CONSTITUTION:A VTR control device 3 diagnoses the fault of its own, based on an error signal transmitted from various kinds of equipments 1A-1N for VTR edition and its own error signal. At the same time, the VTR control device 3 diagnoses the faults of the various kinds of equipments 1A-1N for VTR edition, and the diagnostic information is transmitted to a telephone line 4 by a built-in MODEM 3A. A MODEM 5 receives the diagnostic information transmitted through the telephone line 4, and transmits it to a personal computer 2. The personal computer 2 analizes the fault generating part and cause or the like, based on the transmitted diagnostic information, and transmits to the VTR control device 3 a necessary process, for example, a corresponding software program and another information.</p> |
