PURPOSE:To receive a sharp dye image of excellent quality by using a sheet like support having whiteness of a specific value or more and forming an image receiving layer with thickness of a specific value or more receiving and fixing a dye image on said support from a resin precursor material containing an unsaturated (meth)acrylic compound having a rosin residue as a main component. CONSTITUTION:A sheet like support is composed of fine paper with whiteness of 58% or more based on natural pulp and, when whiteness is 80% or more, the sharpness and hue of an image receive no adverse effect. An image receiving layer is based on an unsaturated (meth)acrylic compound having a rosin structural group in its molecule and contains pigment, a dye, a filler and the others. This paint composition is applied to a smooth base material and the sheet like support is pressed to the coating layer and irradiated with active energy beam from the rear thereof to cure the coating layer to form the image receiving layer having high smoothness and the thickness of this layer after curing is set to 25mum or more. When the thickness is below 25mum, the surface unevenness of the paper support exerts adverse effect on the uniformity of an image. |
