Integrated automatic machine consisting of a console comprising: - a screen (3); - a control keyboard with alphabetic characters (2); - a microcomputer (5) intended to receive the instructions transmitted by the keyboard (2), to process them and to transmit part of the processing of the instructions to the screen (3) and to a printer (6) intended for printing the text composed, the said microcomputer (5) being moreover intended to manage the whole of the machine and the interaction of the latter with the operator and in which part of the text is to be composed in syllabary characters (or in ideograms). This machine is able to associate, with a sequence of alphabetic characters typed in on the keyboard (2), the syllabary character and the corresponding kanji character, and to print them according to the format chosen by the user. Application: printing of visiting cards and the like in Japanese characters. <IMAGE>
