The method consists in slipping a flexible skin (casing) (17) over a rotationally driven mandrel (16), in winding, over this skin, rovings (18), (19), (20) of strong fibres impregnated with curable synthetic resin, and then in separating the skin (17) covered with the interlacing of rovings from the mandrel (16) by injecting, possibly, pressurised air into the hollow mandrel (16) pierced with holes (a). The invention applies in particular to the production of sports articles, such as a tennis racket, golf-club shaft, sailboard boom (wishbone), bicycle wheel rim, bicycle fork or frame tube or fishing rod. It may also be applied to the production of other products, such as the frames of aircraft seats. <IMAGE>
