The invention relates to a device intended to reveal or conceal, break up and recompose several patterns or texts on the same surface. It consists of bands (7) fixed to cylinders (1), (2), (3), (4) which are secured via the gearings (5) and (6) and the bands (7), the whole being driven by the motor (8). The cylinders (3) and (4) are divided along their length into as many identical parts (9) as there are bands (7), intended to be wound up and unwound. The cylinder parts (9) turn independently on a shaft (10) and are secured together by the torsion springs (11) which have, as their main function, the constant tension of the bands (7). The device according to the invention is intended for artistic, advertising, decorative, teaching or informative purposes. <IMAGE>
