<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the meandering quantity of metallic strip remarkably by measuring the tensile difference in the width direction of metallic strip on the outlet side of a rolling mill and performing increasing or releasing the reduction of the rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:By arranging a tensionmeter roll 3 on the outlet side of the rolling mill 2, providing load cells 4, 5 on the work side WS and drive side DS in the reverse direction to the face where the roll 3 is brought into contact with the metallic strip, the tensile value of the metallic strip 1 is detected. And the difference between the tensile value on the work side WS and the tensile value on the drive side DS is sequentially transmitted to a control part 6. In the case the difference of tensile value is over a fixed value, the increase of reduction is actuated on the larger side of tensile value in the width direction of the rolling roll and the release of reduction on the smaller side of tensile value with the controller 6, so the meandering quantity of the metallic strip 1 can be reduced.</p> |
