PURPOSE:To improve image forming efficiency by outputting image data without using a delay means when a monochrome mode by a beam exposing an exposing position on the downstream side of a photosensitive body is selected. CONSTITUTION:A means 103 which selects one color out of plural colors and selects the monochrome mode in which the image is formed in monochrome is disposed in a multicolor image forming device where an exposing means 60 for exposing the different exposing positions in the circumferential direction of the rotatable photosensitive body 71 with the plural beams in accordance with the image data of plural colors and the delay means 40(1005) for delaying the output of the image data in accordance with the respective exposing positions are provided so as to form the image of plural colors at one time. Furthermore, a means 20 which outputs the image data without using the delay means 1005 when the monochrome mode by the beam exposing the exposing position on the downstream side in the rotating direction of the photosensitive body 71 is selected by the means 103 is also provided. Thus, the starting time of forming the first image is hastened, and the image forming efficiency is improved. |
