<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize working of a electric disc brake by preventing deflection of a ball in a thread groove of a ball screw mechanism. SOLUTION: First and second ball screw mechanisms 11, 12 and an electric motor 10 are provided on a caliper main body 3. Braking force is generated by converting rotation of a main rotor 14 by the electric motor 10 to linear motion by the first and second ball screw mechanisms 11, 12 and pressing brake pads 5, 6 on a disc rotor 2 through a piston 24 and a pawl part 4. A plural number of balls 23, 29 are respectively loaded in thread grooves 21, 22 and thread grooves 27, 28 of the first and second ball screw mechanisms 11, 12, aligned with specified intervals and held by retainers 30, 31 and elastically supported by a spring. Consequently, it is possible to prevent deflection of a plural number of the balls 23, 29 as they are moved by vibration, to stabilize their working and to prevent abrasion of the balls 23, 29 and the thread grooves 21, 22, 27, 28 by vibration.</p> |
