PURPOSE: A home automation method based on a Jini is provided to control internal devices at an external place using a home network server for registering services of devices for supplying a Jini service of a specific area in bundle and a mobile communication terminal for requesting controls of the devices through the home network server. CONSTITUTION: If a server for supplying a Jini service is connected to a home network server, services supplied from each device are registered in the home network server(S20). A user requests a home automation service using a mobile communication terminal(S21). If the user connects the mobile communication terminal to the home network server through a short message center for requesting the home automation service, the home network server recognizes the user and supplies a device list capable of being controlled by the user as character information through the short message center(S22). The user selects a device to be controlled out of the supplied device list(S23). The user selects a specific service capable of being supplied by a specific device(S24). A control command corresponded to the service selected by the user is transmitted to the home network server(S25) and a device for supplying a Jini service performs the service selected by the user through a communication to the home network server(S26).
