PURPOSE:To rotate a motor at a high speed by a method wherein a detecting means which detects that an object travels a distance corresponding to intervals of marks and outputs a detection signal, a switching means which selects the output of the detecting means or the output of a delaying means and outputs the selected signal, etc. are provided. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means 111 which detects that an object 102 travels a distance corresponding to intervals of marks (M) which are attached to the object 102 and outputs a detection signal, a switching means 151 which selects the output of the detecting means 111 or the output of a delaying means 141 and outputs the selected signal, etc. are provided. A driving signal is outputted in accordance with the output of the detecting means 111 to reduce a time while a stepping motor 101 is waiting for the next driving signal in a stationary state after it finishes one rotation operation and, further, the output of the delaying circuit 141 is selected by the switching means 151 and the period of the driving signals is reduced to accelerate the rotational speed of the stepping motor 101. |
