PURPOSE:To improve input power factor and suppress the generation of higher harmonics and improve the utilization efficiency of a power source by making the input current into the sine wave of the same phase as the input voltage waveform when converting an AC into a DC. CONSTITUTION:Though the waves of an AC power source 1 are all rectified with a rectifying circuit 2, and is input into an active filter, at this time a switching element 7a is controlled for on and off with specified timing, so the input current by the AC power source 1 becomes a sine waveform of approxi mately the same phase as the input voltage waveform. This way, the AC-DC converting circuit includes an active filter, so the input current can be made an approximately sine wave of the same phase as the input voltage, so the generation of higher harmonics can be suppressed. |
