PURPOSE:To provide the title fiber good in resistance to washing, dry cleaning and moist heat, containing a specified amount of benzoic acid etc., with the extraction rate with an alcohol-benzene mixture not higher than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber containing 0.05-3 (pref. 0.1-2)wt.% of benzoic acid and/or salicylic acid with the 60 min-extraction by immersion with an alcohol-benzene mixture accounting for <=40 (pref. <=30)% of the benzoic acid and/or salicylic acid content. In case of the combined use of benzoic acid and salicylic acid, it is preferable that the weight ratio of the latter to the former be 0.5-2 to l. |
