RADIATOR CAP CAPABLE OF REDUCING MANUFACTURING COST AND TIME BY SIMPLE STRUCTURE, AND REDUCING MECHANICAL TROUBLES

PURPOSE: A radiator cap is provided to prevent the cap from being opened in high-temperature and high-pressure of fluid in a radiator, to reduce manufacturing cost and time by a simple structure, and to reduce mechanical troubles. CONSTITUTION: A radiator cap comprises outer and inner caps(130,150) and a valve(160). The outer cap seals an upper part(123) of a radiator neck unit. The inner cap is elastically supported by an elastic member(140) in the vertical direction from the outer cap and composed of a central part(151) for limiting a central passage(151a) communicating with an auxiliary tank connection pipe(122a) linked to a middle part(122) of the neck unit and having an inclined groove and a peripheral part(152) for sealing a lower part(121) of the neck unit if pressure in a radiator is lower than a first critical pressure. The valve is received in the central passage to move vertically with a gap apart from the inner cap and composed of an upper end part(161) supported by the inner cap, a middle part(162) having a projection unit received in the inclined groove; and a lower end part(163) for sealing the lower part of the inner cap if the pressure in the radiator is higher than a second critical pressure. The lower end of the valve is hung to a radiator body unit(110) as the projection unit is guided along the inclined groove.
