PURPOSE:To firmly bond a rubber compounded material to fibers, by treating the fibers with a polyfunctional epoxy compound, fast sticking the fibers to an unvulcanized rubber compounded material containing an organic peroxide and a co-crosslinking agent having Q value and e value of Alfrey and Price in specific ranges, respectively and vulcanizing. CONSTITUTION:Fibers such as aromatic polyamide cord are treated with an epoxy compound containing two or more epoxy groups in the molecule, fast stuck to a sheet of an unvulcanized rubber compounded material containing an organic peroxide and a co-crosslinking agent (e.g., N,N'-methylene-di-p- phenylenebismaleimide) having two or more carbon-carbon double bonds with Q value and e value of Alfrey and Price satisfying Q>=0.2 and e>=0, respectively and the rubber is vulcanized at 160 deg.C for 20min to give a bonded material wherein the rubber compounded material is firmly bonded to the fibers. |
