<p>NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R<1> is H or amino-protecting group; R<2> is H or OH-protecting group; R<3> is H or carboxyl-protecting group; R<4> is lower alkyl) and its salt. EXAMPLE:7beta-{2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-[(Z)-hydroxyimino]acetamido} -3-[(Z)-2- methoxymethylvinylthio]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid Na salt. USE:An antibacterial agent for oral administration having excellent peroral absorptivity. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II (R<5> is amino-protecting group) with a compound of formula III in a solvent (e.g. THF), removing the protecting group R<5> from the 7-site of the product to obtain a compound of formula TV and reacting the compound with a compound of formula V in the presence of a condensation agent such as N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide.</p> |
