摘要
Method of producing a flat magnetisation loop in a core made from coiled amorphous strips of ferrous material consists of heat treating the core below the recrystallisation point for more than 10 hrs. The temperature is low enough to ensure that crystalline precipitation appears over less than half the strip cross-section. The alloy contains more than 60 At% Fe and in core form produces a satturisation induction of over 1.2 Tesla. To produce a relative permeability below 500 and coercivity below 5 A/cm heat treatment of more than 30 hrs is required.
