Fuel feed system for vehicle - has pump intake socket extending to bottom of fuel tank

The fuel feed system is esp. for large fuel tanks in vehicles. It has a suction pump, and a container, connected to the fuel return. The container interior is connected to the intake socket of the pump. The intake socket (7) opens into a tubular suction space (4) extending to the bottom of the tank (10). The container (1) has a lower, nozzle-like outlet (13), which opens into the suction space, and is directed against the intake socket of the pump (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle fuel feed system permits complete drainage of tank.
