This invention, addressed to an electrical connector 10 having improved locking of the terminal and sealing, comprises an insulating housing 12 having a first surface 14 at one end and a coupling surface 16 at its opposite end to receive a mating housing element 18. There are several pairs of circular cavities 20, 21 between said ends, each one designed to receive an electric terminal 42, where each terminal 42 is provided with an elastomer sealing ring 50 exhibiting several annular ribs 52. A locking element for the terminal 40, which can be inserted into the cavities 20, 21 of the first surface 14, is realised to secure the terminals 42 in a fixed position inside said cavities. Characteristics of the connector comprise a clamp for locking the terminal in cantilevered manner 24 in each cavity and formed as a single piece with the wall of the cavity and extending lengthwise toward the coupling surface 16 for engaging a terminal 42 arranged inside the cavity, and a locking element for the terminal 40, comprising an insulating housing 60 having a curved projection 80, 82, to enter the cavity 20, 21 of the first surface 14 in contact with the elastomer sealing ring 50 to exert an axial pressure against said sealing ring, and means 36, 71 for firmly securing the respective insulating housings in a snap- closing relationship.
